On Thursday dated 14th July 2022, the Research Management Centre had organized the City University Internal Research Grant Awards 2022 Ceremony to celebrate the 11 recipients of awards to kick-start their research in their own respective field.
The ceremony begun with the welcoming speech and opening declaration by Prof. Dr. Mustaffa Halabi bin Azahari. He remarked to all academicians to take the opportunity that had been provided by City University Malaysia and with the dedication of the Research Management Centre to embark in researches for the future well being of education and livelihood, as well as achieving personal and company’s respective goals, aligning with the betterment of education.
Then, the ceremony proceeded with the presentation of awards to all 11 recipients. Each recipient will receive the amount of RM5,000.00 for the purpose of exploratory research and the remaining amount depending on type of research such as Science & Technology (S&T) and Non-Science & Technology (Non S&T). Among the 11 recipients, there are 6 S&T researches and 5 Non S&T researches.
The first City University Research Grant Award recipient is Prof. Dr. Mustaffa Halabi bin Azahari and his team members present.
The second City University Research Grant Award recipient is Prof. Dr. Amer Hamzah bin Jantan and his team members.
The third City University Research Grant Award recipient is Prof. Datuk Dr. Yasmin binti Hussain.
The fourth City University Research Grant Award recipient is Dr. Khairun Nisa binti Mustaffa Halabi and her team members.
The fifth City University Research Grant Award recipient is Dr. Suhaidah binti Tahir, represented by her research team member, Dr Lee Keok Cheong.
The sixth City University Research Grant Award recipient is Dr. Masri bin Abdul Lasi and his present team member, Dr. Khairun Nisa.
The seventh City University Research Grant Award recipient is Dr. Wei Hui Suan.
The eight City University Research Grant Award recipient is Ts. Dr. Nur Amalina binti Musa, represented by her research team member, Mr. Muhammad Ahmar Zuber.
The ninth City University Research Grant Award recipient is Mr. Mohamad Saifullah bin Samsudin.
The tenth City University Research Grant Award recipient is Mdm. Siti Fajar binti Jalal and her team member present, Prof. Dr. R Logeswaran A/L N Rajasvaran.
The final City University Research Grant Award recipient is Ts. Asma Zubaida binti Mohammed Ibrahim and her team members present, Prof. Dr. Amer Hamzah and Mdm siti Fajar.
Before the ceremony ends, we invited all recipients and their team members for a group photo sessions.
RMC hopes that all researchers that receive the awards are able to embark their journey in their research. The RMC is also looking forward to open the second round of Internal Research Grants Application in the future and will release notification and information to potential applicants.
