The City University Malaysia was invited by the organizer of Selangor Summit 2022 to participate as an exhibitor at the 3rd Selangor R&D and Innovation Exhibition 2022 from 6th to 9th October 2022 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur. The City University provided five representatives of faculties to become the exhibitors which are the Research Management Centre, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism and Faculty of Creative Industries.
The 3rd Selangor R&D and Innovation Exhibition 2022 congregates 47 organizations and authorities from variables of field such as government bodies, public and private universities and industries that aim to showcase their products and prototype aligning with the research, development, and innovation in their respective expertise.
The event mainly comprises of two main R&D and Innovation sharing session during the four-days event; the morning and evening session as follows:

During the first three days, the organizer conducted the R&D and Innovation Competition and the faculty of Information Technology (FOIT) represented City University Malaysia by becoming participant of the competition with a project titled; Smart Voting System with Secured Mechanism. The project was prepared by a team of four members: Mr. Lai Zhi Zhao, Mr. Lee Chong Min, Ts. Nurul Amirah Mashudi and supervised by Madam Siti Fajar Binti Jalal. The project was presented by City University Malaysia’s student and Project Leader, Mr. Lai Zhi Zhao and the presentation received positive feedbacks by the panels of judges.
